About Dr. Robert Lustig

Dr. Robert Lustig is the author of Metabolical.

Dr. Lustig is a Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of California, San Francisco and a leading public health authority.

He’s  the author of the bestselling Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processes Food, Obesity, and Disease and its companion, The Fat Chance Cookbook. Dr. Lustig has also written 125 peer-reviewed articles and 73 reviews. 

He works with various organizations, including the Children’s Oncology Group, the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Endocrine Society, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the American Heart Association, and the Culinary Institute of America. He also consults for childhood obesity advocacy groups.

He lives in San Francisco with his family.
